It rained this morning. When I started to pick up trash,
I had to put up an umbrella. However, it cleared soon on the way.
It often happens.
We are a group of eight. The volume of the trash is getting fewer
and the road is getting clean.
It seems people who run business or live in the community start
to make efforts to pick up trash.
My pleasure is making my plastic bags full with trash, but this change
makes me happy.
One of the participants from Shizuoka told us "eating very little."
It is hard for me to refrain from eating. When I get tired, I want to
have sweets. It won't be kept so long if I try to eat little.
I heard there many reboudns after loosing weight. However, he has
been continuing for two years and his blood pressure remains
at 120 mm Hg  which he used to be over 150.

The contents of his meal are
1) One brown rice onigiri (rice ball) 90 g at one meal
2) Not take salt and sugar. If he eats sashimi (raw fish), not use shoyu
(soy sauce) but vinegar instead.
3) Not take snacks.
4) Bring vinegar in a bottle with spray and spread it over meal.
5) Put egoma (wild sesame) into natto. Put a little black vinegar into soy milk.
Others
6)He declined to take a medicine for blood pressure which his doctor
recommended and he made it change his own meal by himself.
7)He keeps walking and doing dumbbell exercise every day.
I was very imprresed by his experience.
As soon as I return home, I cook a brown rice and change my luch
and supper to have a brown rice onigiri.
However, I hesitate not to take salt and sugar,,, I love sweets such as
cake or sweet rice cake,,,  I may have them future, but I will remember
his practice and try to eat snacks a little.
My respectful person had a cancer operation two years ago.
He also tried to change his meal style same as he did and recent examination
reveals the cancer cells have gone to zero.
I'm very happy to hear from him.

Good morning. We are a group of nine today.
I feel the trash has been reducing recently.
Especially around this season, empty plastic bolttes and cans
are relatively few and so are trash.
Maybe there is another person who pick up trash always.
The coffee shop we usually have the breakfast starts to
remodel until March.
So we go to another one, Cafe TSUBAKI.
It is nice to talk in a comfortable atmosphere.
We try to have "morning set" with 7 members.
There is another restaurant near here such as Vietnamese
all-you-can-eat buffet.
I'm looking forward to going to another restaurant.

Interested persons went to go up Mt. Sanage last week.
It is very good to take a hot spring bath in Sanage on the
way to go home.

See you next week,

It is still dark when the activity starts at around six in the morning.
The bus depo is quiet before departure.

Today we are a group of ten includes two new comers.
One of the new ones was introduced by Shibuya shinsengumi in Tokyo.
He joined Shibuya shinsengumi that he happened to see the early morning
clean-up activity right after he got off the night-tour bus from Nagoya.
The other one joined in the middle with catching trash on the way.

At the breakfast, we talked about climbing mountain.
Some of the members agree immediately and decide to go to the mountain.
Quick action may open the door to a new world.

<Notice>
The place for the breakfast will be changed on Jan. 19 (Sun).
We will move there after the activity around seven.
(Current location is "Cafe Tsubaki" on the west side of Nagoya St.)

Happy New Year.
There's no clouds in the sky. It's not cold and nice morning.
13 members started activity in the year of Reiwa 2.
At the breakfast, Hollandar, E-san, who has been continuting
Sado (tea ceremony), Kado (flower arrangement), Aikido
(art of self-defence), Zazen (Meditation) and so on taught us
things on Japan.
"What part of Japan do you think is good since you have learnt
Japanese culture?" E-san replied in English so that my understanding
may not be perfect, but the most part is
1) Japan is just like a university that I can learn a lot. I am just like
     a student living with learning.
2) Japan has a long history as one nation which was not invaded
by foreign country. So that old culture has remained as it is.
3) Japan has a nationality to take care harmony in all our work and life.
We, Japanese, think we know what Japan is, but actually we don't.
It is a good way to learn Japan from foreign people.

Y-kun, a university student, said that E-san seemed to have a sense
of Japanese rather than Japanese people have since a long time ago.
I do not have such a friend who is learning Japanese culture such as Sado,
Kado etc.
The coffee shop that we usually have the breakfast will be closed from
Jan.19 due to remodel for about two months. Where will we go during
the time? Some of our member visit to see another cafe or vietnam
restaurant etc.
Quick action is a great aspect of Shinsengumi.
