by H先生)

Perfect weather for clean-up activity in the fresh air and bright sunshine.
12 members joined. Nagame-san was absent today.
H-san came for the first time in connection with toilet claning activity.
She got surprised to find so many cigarettes ends.
Also there were many Vinyl umbrella after the rain.
When I was just about to remove them, wind was blowing up below the grating
and I felt so good.
-E-san from Holland studying Japanese so hard now!:
The following words are using same Kanji, but meaning is totally different.
"思う(Think)・心(Mind)" and "好き(Like)・女子(girl)"?
How about differences
"Hiragana and Katakana": 「り("ri " in Hiragana)」と「リ("ri" in Katakana)」、「へ("he " in Hiragana)」and「ヘ("he" in Katakana」 and べ(be)、ぺ(pe)?
For Japanese people, we can distinguish them easily.
However, E-san confused the meaning of words.
(Also, there is another rule for writing Japanese. The「月(Tsuki)」in the「青(Ao)」
is not "hook". (explained by H-sensei)
Keep memorizing is only the way to master languages, anyway. Go on, E-san!
And Terror attacks are inevitable and there's nothing we can do to stop them.
-In that point, movie bring us to any kind of time, place etc.
Oh, there used to run the movie in double feature, didn’t they?
We got really lively to talk favorite movies at that time.
Thank you always for having the fun time!

少し気温が高くなってきた影響もあるかもしれないですね^^;
Facebook
Hello! This is Nagame.
Today is 166 th activity.
I appreciate the members to take part in.
11 members in total today.
I feel there are a lot of garbage drink such as empty plastic bottles, cans and jar.
It may be influenced by the weather depending on the high temperature.
Moreover, I found cigarette end more than usual.
We talk "Why do you want to smoke when you’ve been drinking alcohol?"
Well, I had a miracle meeting with Y-san who took part in for the first time.
To tell you the truth, no one knows her who came from Kyushu.
Can you guess why she joined us?
That is Facebook!
She saw my high school teacher's Facebook that mentioned Nagoya Shinsengumi
and Hakata Shinsengumi activities.
Then, she just happened to come to Nagoya and hit her mind to join at this time.
I am very surprised with this encounter came from unknown place and very glad to
talk my former teacher.
At the morning over the miracle story, we enjoyed talk about Dutch E-san's learning
Japanese and "Anpanman (A hero in a illustrated book, whose head is made of
anpan, a bread filled with sweet bean paste, and Anpanman gives his head to
anyone in need of food)" which is made of smashed sweet red beans or strained
sweet red beans. By the way, Anpanman is made of "Tsubuan", smashed sweet
red beans. A creator, Takashi Yanase considered "Tsubuan" is better because
Anpanman's head is made of anpan, a bread filled with sweet bean past.
To make this hero know many kinds of things and help many kinds of people,
it is better "Tsubuan"which has a lot of wrinkles like brain.
I think once again it is fun to make sure things as I want to know quickly.
Thank you,

In a bit sweaty early summer morning, 10 members gathered.
There were quite a few litters and broken umbrellas.
The residents and office workers around here also cleaned up the road,
but maybe they took a break yesterday because of rain.
Usually E-san from Holland is very quite, but he talked a lot with
enthusiasm at the breakfast.
The topics are "What road is the KUMANO KODO?",
" What is the origin of Japanese Shrine?" etc.
E-san taught us the difference between "Shrine" and "church" in English
and ordinary family's faith in western country.
To be surprised, he has very oriental mind that said "our body is
the temple of God." He has much knowledge on Japanese religion and the
royal family.
What happened Japanese born in Japan were taught by foreigner?
E-san devoted himself in the meditation, tea ceremony, flower arrangement
and Aikido etc. Those roads may be rooted from here.
Ushii-san, please study "Japanese shrine" and "seven lucky gods" and teach us.
S-san's relative is "Sota Fujii". He becomes a famous professional shogi
player to keep winning 17 games in succession and it started to be
covered by media like TV, what he had at lunch such as Noodle
set meal. Even though receiving such a high attention to him, he,
a junior high school student, kept calm mind.
He dislikes to loose the game and love reading. One of his most
favorite book is "A man called as a pirate" by Naoki Hyakuta.
Other than that, he read Ryotaro Shiba, Jirou Nitta and Kotaro Sawaki etc.
His most "concerns" at his 4th grade of elementary shcool
were "Senkaku Island dispute","Nuclear power plant","
Nankai Trough". He has a good balance not only Shogi,
but also thinking deeply Japanese history and current topics.
What a talent 14-years-old has!
I can enjoy many kinds of stories at the breakfast.
I'm looking forward to next week's meeting!

How have you enjoyed the Golden week?
Good day, everyone!
20 members enjoyed today's activity!
Today's temperature is 21 °C, humidity 68%, Temperature–humidity index (THI) 70
(According to Japan Weather Association 「tenki.jp」as of 9:00)
It is very nice morning to spend even in the sun.
Have you ever heard "Temperature–humidity index (THI)"?
This index is a measure of the degree of discomfort experienced by an individual
in warm weather.
Most people are quite comfortable when the index is below 75
You may check this index on the website of the Japan Weather Association.
The formula is below;
Temperature-humidity index = 0.81T + 0.01U(0.99T - 14.3) + 46.3
(T:Temperature,U:Humidity)
By the way, I am "Ushii". It is the the 4th time I have joined the Shinsengumi.
★Reflection of today's activity★
I feel less trash than I expected during golden week.
And I feel less people around Nagoya Station at this time.
Maybe many people go sightseeing or anywhere else in the golden week.
Now you find the list of the popular places for this year's trip in golden week.
( According to the Japan Association of Travel Agents "Travel trends survey";
estimated by the number of tour applications)
It is very popular for the family to go further.
1st: Okinawa
2nd:Hokkaido
3rd:Tokyo (includes Tokyo Disney Land)
4th:Osaka
5th:Kyoto
Another ranking is partially disclosed for raise in popularity.
(According to the reservation service "RAKUTEN travel"; estimated by the
number of reserved nights and people.)
1st place is Aomori; It is far and improving the demand of "Hanami" seeing cherry
blossom just in full bloom.
2nd is Mie; 27th National Confectionary Exposition in Mie; currently opened.
Following is disclosed "rising" rank;
1st:Aomori
2nd:Mie
3rd:Kagojima
4th:Saitama
5th:Kochi
Talking to myself, I visited to Mie during the golden week.
There were many people gathered at the National Confectionary Exposition
as rumored.
And I walked through KUMANO KODO, the ancient pilgrimage trails
where I received a lot of power from nature.
This is a very recommendable place.
I seem to have wandered from the subject.
Every time I feel there are many cigarette butts on the road.
The number of male smoker is 30 % of all and declining year by year.
(According to Japan Tobacco Inc. "JT annual survey on Japanese smoking rate")
However, the place to smoke is very few near the Nagoya Station. Is this the reason
there are people who smoke while walking?
Moreover, every time I pick up trash, I recalled the story of "The Law of UEKI" .
The main character has a power to transform trash to tree.
I want such an ability.
To get this ability, required following conditions;
"If you recognize the trash, you may use this power even though it is not trash."
One takes it as a trash, on the other hand, one does not consider it.
I associate this and this.
At the breakfast time, I enjoy talking with members as usual.
K-kun's experience in Fiji to study abroad, A-san's movie talk,
O-san's daughter's new life in university etc.
I am very looking forward to talking to you again!

May 3 is for GOMI no HI (Zero Waste day) and 5 members came to pick up trash on
this special day as usual.
with a broom clearly where he chose the popular area because he wanted to
show them clean road.
in a short regular time.
activity of the Nagoya Shinsengumi. The first May 3 was on Sastruday in 2014.
In the talk, we found a law of plastic bag size which decides the amount of trash we pick up.
Perhaps, it would be the same thing for the attitude to live on daily lives. Isn't it interesting?
Every time Shinsengumi gives a new insights.
Thank you and Happy Birthday, Nagame-san!
